SOMONOUR Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Somonour handles information when you use the website, sign in with Google, create sessions, and interact with the simulation. Somonour is an experimental interactive fiction and social simulation service.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information you authorize through Google Sign-In, such as your Google account identifier, email address, display name, and profile image.
- Content you submit to Somonour, including prompts, replies, story transcripts, branch sessions, notes, and archive-related content.
- Session and preference data, such as saved settings, language choices, and continuity data used to resume or render your experience.
- Technical information created through normal website operation, such as cookies, authentication session records, browser/device details, and server logs.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate, secure, and improve Somonour, including to:
- authenticate users and maintain signed-in sessions;
- generate and store interactive story responses and related state;
- support persistence, branching, archive generation, and debugging;
- detect abuse, protect the service, and enforce our Terms of Service;
- comply with legal obligations.
Google Sign-In
If you sign in with Google, Somonour receives only the basic account information that Google makes available for this sign-in flow. Somonour does not receive your Google password. Somonour uses that information to identify your account and to keep your session attached to the correct user.
AI and Service Providers
Prompts, transcript material, and related context may be processed by third-party model providers and infrastructure providers that Somonour uses to operate the service. Depending on configuration, this can include hosted model APIs and other supporting service providers involved in storage, logging, and delivery.
Public Archives and Shared Surfaces
Somonour includes archive and wiki-style surfaces. If you end or publish a session through features that place it into a public archive, parts of your story content may become visible to other visitors. Do not submit content you want to keep private if you choose to use a public-facing archive or sharing feature.
Cookies and Session Records
Somonour uses first-party cookies and related session records to keep you signed in, preserve continuity, and help secure the service. If you block or clear these cookies, parts of the sign-in and persistence flow may stop working.
Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, preserve session continuity, maintain archives, investigate misuse, and satisfy legal or operational requirements. Because Somonour includes persistent simulation and archive features, some session content may remain stored after a play session ends.
Your Choices
- You can stop using the service at any time.
- You can sign out of Somonour by using the in-app logout control.
- You can avoid Google sign-in entirely by not proceeding past the login gate.
- You should avoid entering sensitive personal information into prompts or public archives.
Children
Somonour is not intended for children under 13, and you should not use the service if you are not old enough to consent to online services in your jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, its providers, or its operational needs change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
Contact
For privacy questions, use the support contact identified on the Somonour site or in the Google Sign-In consent screen for this service.
This is a starter policy for the current product state and should be reviewed and refined before a larger public launch.
